Type: EC Parameter
Description:The EDMTDL parameter determines the number of matching empty delivery units that are pre-ranked before Expert Decking evaluates and suggests an empty container for delivery. The default value is 300. When set to the default, it is possible that Expert Decking will often select recently arrived containers, which can get buried.
By increasing the value of EDMTDL, you increase the chance that Expert Decking will find a more appropriate empty in the yard. However, this can also increase the time it takes for Expert Decking to select that empty. In the Expert Decking logs you can view the time that it takes for Expert Decking to pick empties, based on the EDMTDL value. Using these logs you can figure out a balance between increasing the chance of an appropriate empty delivery pick while considering the time Expert Decking takes to pick the empties.
Example of EDMTDL logs:
"<TIMESTAMP> | doYardCntrSelectorPickCntr took 890ms with EDMTDL set to 300." - with EDMTDL set to '300', ED took 890 milliseconds to pick a container.
"<TIMESTAMP> | doYardCntrSelectorPickCntr took 581ms with EDMTDL set to 1000." - with EDMTDL set to '1000', ED took 581 milliseconds to pick a container.
Default Value: 300
Minimum Value: 1
Maximum Value: 32767
Notes
When you set EDMTDL to zero, ED evaluates and ranks all containers.
The pre-ranked list considers the ED parameters DLVRHD and DLVDTH, provided they are are set to a value greater than 0
